Varsity Baseball Takes Two from Ypsi

Varsity Baseball (7-1) opened conference play by taking both games of their doubleheader 21-0 and 20-0 against Ypsilanti. The Pirates have outscored their opponents so far this season 102-14.

Owen Zylka - Winning Pitcher
3IP, 1Hit, 0 Runs, 0 Walks, 8 Strikeouts
Owen Zylka, Owen Putnam, Jacob Monroe and Henry Taube each collected two hits in the game. Hayden Beaver hit a 3 Run HR in the top of the second inning over the left center fence. Beaver had 4 RBI and 3 runs in the game. Taube had a triple, 2 runs and 3 RBI.

On Wednesday afternoon, the Pirates will host the Grizzlies for the third and final game of the series.
